Community Guidelines
Charbit is a shared world of characters, posts, songs and videos. These rules keep it safe and fun. They apply to everything you create, publish, send or ask a character to generate.

Zero tolerance: children’s safety
Never create, request or share content that sexualises minors, including characters who are or look like children, or that grooms, endangers or exploits a minor. This applies to fiction and AI-generated content too. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
Illegal and dangerous content
- No content that is illegal where you are, or that promotes or explains how to commit serious crimes.
- No instructions for making weapons, explosives or drugs, and no content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- No content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If you are struggling, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
- No scams, fraud, phishing or malware.
Sexual content
Mature content is only for users who are 18 or older, only where the app allows it, and must be marked as such. Never publish sexual content involving real people without their consent, and never share sexual content in public spaces where it is not allowed.
Respect other people
- No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or encouraging others to pile on.
- No hate: do not attack people for race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious illness.
- No defamation, and no sharing other people’s private information (addresses, phone numbers, documents, private photos).
Real people, voices and likeness
Do not impersonate anyone or pass a character off as a real person. Characters based on real people must be clearly fictional and must not be sexual, demeaning or misleading. Clone only your own voice or a voice you have explicit permission to use.
Respect creators
Only upload or publish content you have the right to share. Do not repost other people’s art, music, video or writing as your own. See Copyright for how to report infringement.
You’re responsible for what you create
What you generate or publish is your responsibility, even when an AI wrote or drew it. Check it before you share it, and label AI-generated content honestly when you post it elsewhere.
Play fair with the service
No spam, fake engagement, multiple accounts to evade limits or bans, scraping, or attempts to get around safety filters, age rules or rate limits.
Report and block
Tap the ••• menu on any character, post, comment, song, video or message to report it, and block a user to stop seeing their content and messages. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, so when you report one, the app sends us the messages you are reporting. We review reports and act within 24 hours.
You can also write to [email protected].
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, limit features (for example publishing), suspend or close the account, and in serious cases contact the authorities. Automated checks block some content when it is submitted. If you think we made a mistake, reply to our notice or email [email protected] and we will take another look.
