Read along in a language you’re learning
Talk to a character in a language you only half speak, and the translation appears under every reply.

Characters speak several languages, which only helps if you speak one of them. Learning mode makes the rest approachable: when a reply arrives in a language that is not yours, the translation appears underneath it.
It shows up as the reply lands, so the conversation keeps its pace — you are reading the original and checking yourself, not waiting on a translator.

Japanese replies can carry furigana too, whatever language your app is set to. The people who most need the reading aid are usually not the ones reading in Japanese already.
